Stellar Authority

The Stellar Authority (AE) is the entity that represents Estelar Online’s administration inside the game universe. Team members belong to it and show up with the [AE] badge. It’s like a corporation, only official: it doesn’t fight over fortresses or declare war, but it runs the public services every pilot depends on.

Team pilots show up with [AE] before their name in chat and in name tags in the game. That’s how you recognize someone who is really on the team.

Nobody can impersonate the team: pilot names with words like “GM”, “ADM”, “moderador”, “suporte”, “oficial” or “Estelar” are rejected when the account is created (see Rules and support). If someone says they’re on the team without the badge, be suspicious and report them.

The emergency tow (Esc menu) is also part of the safety net: it takes your ship to the respawn station, cargo included, free once a day and after that for 250 ¢. For Galactic Citizens, it’s unlimited (see Fuel).

The Stellar Authority exists so that every pilot has a way back into the game without having to pay:

  • out of fuel, there’s the free daily tow and the community missions, which together fill a tank and a half;
  • without a ship, there’s the rented ship;
  • if you want the Galactic Citizen perks without paying, there are the Citizenship Seals, earned with active play time.

The Stellar Authority doesn’t sell power. Nothing it offers, paid or earned, makes a ship stronger, faster or tougher: citizenship gives convenience and identity, and the price of fuel, repairs and the license is the same for everyone.
