Citizenship Seals
Citizenship Seals are the currency for anyone who wants to be a Galactic Citizen without paying. You earn them by playing and, once you collect 360, they turn into 30 days of citizenship, with all the perks of bought citizenship.
How to earn them
Section titled “How to earn them”| Source | How many | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Active play time | 1 seal every 10 active minutes | up to 12 per day |
| Community missions | 1 to 2 seals per mission | each mission once per day |
| Invites | 84 seals per tier for the inviter; 24 or 84 for the invitee | one payment per tier and per invitee |
What counts as active play
Section titled “What counts as active play”The game counts the time you’re actually playing:
- you moved the ship or the astronaut in the last 20 seconds;
- you talked in chat in the last minute;
- or you’re in a match.
Idle mode (the automatic cruise) and a still screen don’t count. The daily limit exists so as not to reward marathons or bots: 12 seals is two hours of active play per day.
Expiration
Section titled “Expiration”Seals expire after 90 days, counted from the day they were earned. Nobody stockpiles a year of citizenship. When you redeem, the oldest seals are spent first, so the newest ones last longer.
Redeeming for citizenship
Section titled “Redeeming for citizenship”In the Esc menu, the CITIZENSHIP SEALS button shows how many valid seals you have (out of 360) and does the exchange. Each redemption spends 360 seals and gives 30 days of Galactic Citizen. If you’re already a citizen, the days are added to the end of your current period.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”Playing for active time alone, at the daily maximum, it takes 30 days to collect 360 seals: about 60 active hours in the month. Community missions speed things up, and an invitee who reaches level 5 yields 84 seals at once. The math was done for this: those who play a lot earn citizenship by playing; for those who play a little, buying is still the shortest path.
- Seals can’t be traded between pilots and can’t be sold on the market.
- Invite seals don’t count toward the daily limit, but they expire after 90 days like the others.
- Citizenship earned with seals is the same as bought citizenship: the same perks and no combat advantage.
